I took this photo of Marc’s door after I had heard about his passing because I felt so sad that we would no longer see each other in Wright Hall any longer. When I saw on his door the assignment-related notes he’d written for students and the pile of papers in the box next to his office, I found it hard to believe he was gone. His office was especially memorable not only because of the uniquely decorated door, but also because it was so close to the spot where we’d often chatted while I was using the copy machine in front of his office.
Another thing about Marc I will remember is that he was a big fan of my Kimchi. I will miss seeing the pleasure Marc took in getting Kimchi, his raucous laughter, and his walking in the hall without shoes.
